First and foremost, the staff at Copperstone Apartments hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. We have received questions from the community about if and how COVID-19 will change the way we operate our aquatic venues. After careful consideration, I am excited to let you know that we plan to reopen while operating within CDC guidance to protect our swimmers, staff, and our community.
The pools will be operated differently based on the current COVID-19 restrictions and state mandates. Our Spas/Hot Tubs and Splash Pad will remain closed until further notice. The regulations are subject to change. Below you will find a summary of actions we are taking to help ensure we are lowering COVID-19 risk as much as possible while also allowing our residents to enjoy the water. We are:
• Promoting healthy hygiene practices, such as encouraging all staff and residents utilizing the pool and community amenities to stay home if they are unwell, wash their hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes, wearing cloth face coverings when not in the water.
§ Cloth face coverings should not be placed on children younger than 2 years of age, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the cover without assistance.
• Increasing cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation within our facilities by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, such as handrails, lounge chairs, and door handles. We have also added a hand sanitizer dispenser at the pool entrance area. We are requiring all residents to disinfect pool furniture before and after each use with provided disinfectants, paper towels, and no-touch trash cans.
• Encouraging social distancing when possible by changing our deck layouts to ensure residents can remain 6 feet apart in standing and seating areas, providing visual cues like tape on floors and sidewalks, limiting large group events on-premises.
§ Occupancy is limited to 10-people at the outdoor pool and 8-people at the indoor pool, including children. Pool use will be for residents only (ID required); guests will not be permitted at this time.
§ Pools will be available Monday- Saturday 9:00 AM-9:30 PM. Closed on Sunday.
§ Reservations will be required for pool use.
§ All reservations must be made in advance. No walk-ups will be allowed.
§ Reservations will be in 2-hour increments. The 2-hour sessions will be 9:00 AM- 11:00 AM, 11:05 AM- 1:05 PM, 1:10 PM- 3:10 PM, 3:15 PM- 5:15 PM, 5:20 PM- 7:20 PM, 7:30 PM- 9:30 PM
§ When calling to reserve a swim session for either pool you must include the names of all residents planning to utilize the pool/ pool area.
§ Residents will only be allowed to reserve a pool session up to 1-week in advance.
§ Residents can only reserve pool areas up to 3 times per week (meaning no more than three reservations between the indoor and outdoor pools combined).
§ Pool key cards will need to be picked up from the leasing office and returned within 5 minutes of the conclusion of your 2-hour session and dropped in the night box for any sessions ending after normal business hours.
§ Upon requesting a reservation for pool use, the resident must agree to our terms and guidelines; see attached amenity waiver.
The health and safety of our swimmers, staff, and all residents remains our highest priority. We appreciate your patience while we work to implement these new mandates. These regulations are subject to change as we must operate in compliance with the Governor’s public health order.
